If you're hungry or want a drink between locals go check out Maxi's... best food, best conversations!
We can tell you about nearby Puerto Viejo (nightlife, acoustic live sessions at many bars, reggae all around, fabulous cuisine etcetera),
Punta Uva (this beach gives you the Blue Lagoon feeling),
Playa Cocles (the place to be for local surfers; world champion native, Gilberto Brown, takes his waves and other local surfers organize tournaments at this beach as the Puerto Viejo Open Pro; though check out the one and only wave in Puerto; Salsa Brava, discover where its name is from; it's a hot an scary wave, but surfers go for it),
Punta Mona ( ecological farming at its best; it's a working organic perm culture farm with over 30 hectares of excellent rainforest land. People from all over the world come to Punta Mona to learn and practice sustainable agriculture, renewable resources, and good healthy jungle living. Annual perm culture courses are held at Punta Mona, often bringing in 30-40 students for a two week total perm culture experience. ),
Bribri (village nearby inhabited by the indigenous BriBri tribe, where you will find and learn how simple life can be) and also the way to go to the most scenic islands of the Caribe: Bocas del Toro, Panama, to get here it is a fantastic trip; a wild and remote border crossing experience. There is an off-the-track border post where you have to walk over a bridge that sees little visitors. All formalities are therefore pretty straightforward and relaxed. When reaching Bocas afterwards by boat, welcomed by locals you'll never forget the trip.

Reviews of this property
This is one of the most impressiv travelexperience I've ever had. Just beautiful. The house is located right in the national park of manzanillo... the secluded beach is right in front of the bungalow (50M). At night time the candles and hammocks make that place feel like you're in a robinson cruesoe movie:-).... the bungalow is of simple construction but has everything to offer you need. The outside kitchen is just amazing (gas, fridge and water).
I would recommend this piece of paradise to everyone how loves to be in the middle of the jungle, in combination with lonesome beachlife...
