The apartment has a comfortable double bed in separate bedroom and 2 single beds in the living room, also providing the option of an extra bed or baby crib. Really nice bathroom and an inviting kitchen equipped with a dishwasher! The kitchen has everything you need to prepare your own meals.
Berlin is a city with a laid-back attitude allowing for every kind of life style and particularly appealing is also the wide range of activities and events. Berlin offers a lot of green spots with over a third of the cities extensive surface covered by sweeping parks, forests, lakes, rivers and canals. Unsurprisingly, cycling is quite popular and the wide streets are usually filled with special marked bicycle lanes.
Public transport in Berlin is thorough and efficient with the railway and bus network is the fastest way of getting around the capital. It all makes Berlin a perfect place to live in, with some of the liveliest nightlife in Europe to keep you going through the long grey winters.

Nice apartment in the middle of beautiful Prenzlauer Berg. There are great restaurants right outside down the street, a park and access to public transportation nearby. The apartment faces the back of the house which is a typical enclosed space with windows and balconies facing each other. One does not have traffic noise but the noise from conversations on balconies across from you can be even more annoying. This is only an issue on warm days in the summer when people have parties on weekends which spill over on the balcony. If it gets too much just step on your balcony and ask them to go inside. It worked for us but we had to do it at 11 pm and again at 1 pm. the first night. The second night was fine. The apartment has an entry hallway, a living/bedroom/kitchen all-in-one, a separate very small bedroom with a loft bed. The bed in the main room is comparable to a queen size bed with two mattresses (typical for German beds) and very comfortable. The beds in the small bedroom are narrower and only suited for very slim persons (not taller than 5'8") or children. This bedroom has a door and a window. In this bedroom you will also find a travel cot for babies and a high chair for toddlers. The curtains in both rooms are darkening curtains since there are no blinds or "Rolladen" in the building. The kitchenette is very basic and good for preparing breakfast. There is a fridge, toaster, coffee maker, hot water maker. The bathroom is spacious. The apartment is on the fourth floor (3. Stock) if I remember correctly. There is no elevator! Parking is possible in front of the house for 1 Euro per hour. The owner will explain to you where to find free parking nearby but don't count on using your car every day for outings unless you want to spend a half hour each evening finding a new free spot to park you car and walk another 15 min. back to the apartment. There is no parking garage available.
Overall, we were very happy with the apartment and would rent it again.
Super stylisch apartement,
while a bit outside from the city center there are plenty of regular connections (train or bus) to the center so that it is not a problem.
Apartment quiet and well located. The area has supermarkets, bars and restaurants in close proximity, and is well connected with the center. Contact with the hosts was easy and pleasant.
Apartamento tranquilo y bien situado. La zona dispone de supermercados, bares y restaurantes muy próximos, y está muy bien comunicada con el centro. El contacto con los anfitriones fue fácil y agradable.
From the traffic situation extremely well located apartment in a quiet back building overlooking the green courtyard. Everything was clean and obviously well maintained, though at times the previous tenants wash dishes had only understood conditionally, but what Uwe has no influence. One star deduction is only because of the beds: there are two beds that are placed side by side instead of one individual (may be of advantage or disadvantage, in our clearly a disadvantage). Unfortunately, both had very lumpy mattresses, which clearly poses a problem for sensitive people back. I would not hesitate to take this apartment again, albeit with its own air mattress :-)
Von der Verkehrslage extrem gut gelegene Wohnung in einem ruhigen Hinterhaus mit Blick in den grünen Innenhof. Alles sauber und offensichtlich auch gewartet, wenn auch stellenweise die Vormieter Geschirr spülen nur bedingt verstanden hatten, woran aber Uwe keinen Einfluss hat. Der eine Stern Abzug ist lediglich wegen den Betten: es handelt sich um zwei Betten die nebeneinander gestellt sind statt einem Einzelnen (kann von Vor- oder Nachteil sein, bei uns eindeutig ein Nachteil). Leider hatten Beide schon sehr durchgelegene Matratzen, was für rückenempfindliche Leute eindeutig ein Problem darstellt. Ich würde jederzeit diese Wohnung wieder nehmen, wenn auch nur mit einer eigenen Luftmatratze :-)
Cozy,well-equipped and clean flat. Close to the tram and the S-bahn.
The area is quiet but full of bars, restaurants, cafés and supermarkets.
The apartment was in a great area. We had everything on site. From a small grocery store to countless restaurants and bars.
We were allowed to leave our bags earlier in the home and by 13 clock our apartment was then ready to move in. Sir was clean, spacious and nothing was missing. We are very satisfied and the landlord also grateful for the Sightseeing tips :))
We will come back for sure.
Die Wohnung lag in einer super Gegend. Wir hatten alles vor Ort. Vom kleinen Lebensmittelgeschäft bis hin zu unzähligen Restaurants und Bars.
Wir durften unsere Koffer schon früher in der Wohnung abstellen und um 13 uhr war unsere Wohnung dann einzugsbereit. Sir war sauber, geräumig und es fehlte an nichts. Wir sind sehr zufrieden und dem Vermieter auch dankbar, für die Sehenswürdigkeiten Tipps :))
Wir werden mit Sicherheit wieder kommen.
In the last 10 years of our annual Berlin-Visit bested Location. The Dunker Street with its many bars and multicultural restaurants has much to offer. The ground floor apartment was surprisingly quiet and functional. Disturbing was only the unpleasant odor from the discharges. Otherwise everything was great!
In den letzten 10 Jahren unserer jaehrlichen Berlin-Besuche die bested Location. Die Dunkerstrasse mit ihren vielen Kneipen und multikulti-Restaurants hat viel zu bieten. Die Erdgeschosswohnung war erstaunlich ruhig und functional. Stoerend war nur der unangenehme Geruch aus den Abfluessen. Sonst alles prima!
For 2 adults and 2 (small) kids (4 + 7 years): Perfect! The location on the Prenzlauer Allee to the tram stop Fröbelstr. around the corner is top, the Alex is about 10 minutes away.
Berlin is always worth a visit, who in Prenzl. Your roommate Berg, this apartment should take a closer look. Certainly there are larger apartments, for us, the rooms were perfectly adequate 1.5.
Für 2 Erwachsene und 2 (kleine) Kinder (4+7 Jahre): perfekt ! Die Lage an der Prenzlauer Allee mit der Straßenbahnhaltestelle Fröbelstr. um die Ecke ist top, der Alex ist in ca 10 Minuten erreichbar.
Berlin ist immer eine Reise wert, wer in Prenzl. Berg wohnen möchte, sollte sich diese Wohnung genauer ansehen. Sicherlich gibt es größere Wohnungen, für uns waren die 1,5 Zimmer absolut ausreichend.
