The modern kitchen is well provided with crockery, cutlery, glasses and kitchenware, as well as a washing machine, fridge-freezer, cooker and microwave.
The double bedroom, a quiet room overlooking the church, has wall-to-wall carpeting and is well furnished. The shower-room is tiled and has a wash-hand basin, toilet and standard-size power shower (no bathtub).
The apartment looks over Greyfriars Church (built in 1620) and churchyard to the spires and roofs of the Old Town. There are many tales attached to Greyfriars, perhaps the most famous of which is that of Greyfriars Bobby, a faithful Skye terrier. The dog is buried close to his master and his faithfulness is commemorated in a statue opposite the entrance to the churchyard at the junction of George IV Bridge and Candlemaker Row.
Across the road from Greyfriars Bobby are the National Museum of Scotland, an award-winning modern building that holds the national collections, and the adjoining Royal Scottish Museum.
From the apartment it is a short walk along George IV Bridge to the Royal Mile and Edinburgh Castle or down Candlemaker Row to the picturesque Grassmarket and the more earthy Cowgate, centre of the city’s nightlife. The Royal Mile, the backbone of medieval Edinburgh, connects Edinburgh Castle at one end with the Palace of Holyroodhouse and the Parliament at the other.
The apartment is close to the main campus of the University of Edinburgh.
During Edinburgh Festivals and the Hogmanay (26.12.-06.01.) there is a minimum stay of 7 nights.

We had a very nice week in the apartment in Brunswick Street Lane. It is very well kept and clean. Instructions are needed to get things to work, the showers for instance, but there is a folder with very clear explanations in the sitting room. Martin is very helpful and answers immediately if you ask for anything. Brunswick Street Lane is close enough to the city center and to public transport, but very quiet during the night. We enjoyed staying there and would stay there again.
Lovely, everyone & everything: Martin, Stuart, flat, location & organisation. Many thanks. I will come again!
Martin was very nice and the appartment is 20 min to royal mille, very near to supermarkets and a beatiful neighbourhood. The appartment is very nice and clean.
Great experience, very central, four people can live quite comfortably
Cozy, clean and well equipped apartment. The location is fantastic. We enjoyed our stay very much and were sad when we had to leave. We also enjoyed the roof terrace very much.
We would like to come back in one of the next years.
Great apartment with a perfect location close to just about everything :-) The apartment is spacious (we were two people staying there) and even though it is so centrally located in the city, there was almost no noise at night - an important thing when you value a good night's sleep ;-) Everything regarding the booking went very smoothly, Martin send us the keys in advance along with a very detailed description of how to find the apartment. All in all it was a delightful experience to rent this apartment, and we would definitely love to come back another time.
A little gem in Edinburgh ... centrally located ... nice roof terrace with a great view to the sea. Martin is very friendly and helpful. definitely recommended!
Thank you Martin for your kindness and for the apartment which is really comfortable, very well located and well equipped! Thank you again and hope to use your services again in the future
Stayed here for the second time and felt like home! Great location, absolutely recommend staying here!
For several days in May, my friend and I had a very comfortable stay here in Edinburgh's Old City. This well-maintained apartment had all of my favorite amenities and was ideally located for excursions to Edinburgh Castle, Holyrood Palace, Arthur's Seat, and whisky tastings. Even before we arrived, the nice man who owns this snug little place (which was surprisingly quiet), kindly made sure that we had milk for our tea. Two other advantages are these: if you are not dragging excessive luggage, you can walk here easily from the train station, and the bus to the airport (cheap!) stops about a block from Bull's Close.
