Since there is construction happening in the house, we recently had a water damage. The traces of it are still there. The electricity has just been changed from 125 Volt to 240 Volt. Now we do not need the transformer for the fridge anymore, since the fridge was already for 240 Volt. But now we need the transformer for the air heater that runs on 125 Volt. A heater for 240 Volt still needs to be bought.
In addition the apartment is at the moment too full of things that we have to sort out.
All guest say they have cleaned the apartment before leaving, and all guests say as well that they found the apartment dirty when arriving. If this is too complicated for you, then you better don't rent this apartment.
This very basic studio has space for 1 to 3 (maybe 4) persons. It is very near Ramblas and Plaza Reial on the roof. You can see over the old town of Barcelona.
There are 2 studios on this roof. Here we talk about the larger one. In the room at the back there is a double bed and in the room at the front there is a futon sofa that converts into a bed. As the apartment is slightly set back from the house front you can sleep without ear plugs.
I only rent to nonsmokers. The apartment is without any luxury and everything else than perfect, and it is well possible that sometimes something does not work. There is a PC and from a neighbour we get WiFi, but it also does not work all the time. We try to keep things working, but we are not always around, so we expect you to understand.
If you are Russian you will only like this apartment if you have already been living in a datcha.
In winter it can be fairly cold. There is a heater that works with gas bottles that is a bit tricky to use and there is a small wood stove that needs also a bit understanding to operate. The apartment instructions will tell you more.
Up to the apartment there are 100 steps. At the top of the stairs there is a door. There you go on the roof. This door has to be locked all the time! The neighbours insist on that.
The house entrance downstairs has to be locked by key after 8 in the evening and on weekends.
The terrace is not private. Sometimes the neighbours come to hang their washing.
Rubbish bags can be left outside of the house entrance after 8 in the evening. (Do not leave them on the terrace.)
No jumping around on the terrace. It is also forbidden to use roller skates or any vehicle. This would damage the terrace and cause problems on rainy days.
You should find clean sheets in the apartment and during your stay you have to go to the laundry to wash the used sheets of the previous persons, so that the persons after you will also find clean sheets. If the weather allows it you can hang them up for drying. Best is you also prepare the beds for the next persons and leave a note that it is done.

If you book less than 3 Weeks in advance and if you arrive after 9pm, then you have to give 15 Euro to the person who will give you the keys; after midnight 20 Euro.

House rulesYou will have to clean the apartment before leaving. If you can't find a mopp to clean the floor of the apartment, have a look in front of the door of the other apartment on the same roof.

Quite often our guests arrive in the morning at the flat. If there are still other guests in the flat, then the new guests can usually leave their luggage. Then they go for a walk until lunch time to take over the apartment. In Spain this is at 2 p.m. The other guests who might leave only at night, will then leave the apartment, but may come back later again to collect their luggage. If you want to be sure that you won't have to arrange like that with other guests then it is best to rent the flat one or two nights longer.

The description of the property meets the reality accurately and well. Self-activity is required. On Ascension Day (? Champions League, "father" tag?) Was the sleep restricted by raucous tourists bands until the wee hours, the otherwise quite prominent and stern police commands apparently not stop - all visitors are apparently also in the hazy state welcome. But the apartment is now again in the center of tourism - everything is close. Who is not afraid of all the stairs and look for a cheap accommodation, which this property is highly recommended.
Die Beschreibung der Unterkunft trifft die Realität genau und gut. Eigenaktivität ist gefordert. Am Himmelfahrtswochenende (Champions Ligue?, "Vater"tag?) war die Nachtruhe durch grölende Touristenbanden bis in die Morgenstunden eingeschränkt; die ansonsten ziemlich präsente und gestrenge Polizei gebietet offenbar nicht Einhalt - alle Besucher sind offenbar auch im benebelten Zustand willkommen. Aber die Wohnung liegt nun einmal im Zentrum des Tourismus - alles ist nah. Wer die vielen Treppen nicht scheut und eine preiswerte Unterkunft sucht, dem sei diese Unterkunft empfohlen.
The apartment above the rooftops of the old town we enjoyed wonderful, unique in the huge roof terrace with views over the rooftops of the city and the sun from morning to evening. The described technical challenges to master well. For all that luxury does not mean the world and like the hype of the old town.
Diese Wohnung über den Dächern der Altstadt hat uns wunderbar gefallen, im besonderen die riesige Dachterasse mit dem Blick über die Dächer der Stadt und Sonne von morgens bis abends. Die beschriebenen technischen Herausforderungen sind gut zu meistern.
Für alle denen Luxus nicht die Welt bedeutet und die den Rummel der Altstadt mögen.
Barcelona is a unique city because it has the feel of a European capital and at the same time has a beautiful coastline. The house was located in a perfect spot, behind the Rambla and close to pharmacies and supermarkets. The Catalans are available and also speak Italian!
Barcellona è una città unica, perché possiede le caratteristiche di una capitale europea e al tempo stesso ha una costa bellissima. La casa era situata in un luogo perfetto, dietro la rambla e vicino a farmacie e a supermercati. I catalani sono disponibili e parlano anche italiano!
We enjoyed the roof terrace and the apartment itself was very quiet. Doable with 2 people, somewhat make do.
We hebben genoten van het dakterras en het appartement zelf was erg rustig. Goed te doen met 2 personen, wel enigszins behelpen.
