Reviews for this host's other properties
My husband and I had to leave the apartment after 2 nights. It was not "amazing" as the description says and this is for several reasons:
First of all, it is way to small and stuffy. But this would not be a problem if we could at least open a window. It was like 40 degrees there and absolutely no air.
Now the actual reason, why we could not open the window: these are the neighbors one floor down. We don't know, what was going on there, but it strongly smelled like human urin. Once you open the window, the smell just hits you right into your face and it smells like this in the whole apartment within 5 minutes. Just impossible...so we had to keep the window closed.
We wrote about this problem to Salvatore (whom we also did not get to know personally, just his cousin) on the very first evening and he promised us to find another flat for me and my husband. However, he contacted us on this regard first one day later in the evening (with no solution) and we had to stay there for another night. In the morning we have checked out and had to book another hotel in a rush.
We have to admit, that having such a neighbors is not Salvatore's fault, but there must be done something about it. And the guest have to be informed about this problem!
This situation has destroyed two days of our vacation in Nice and provided us a lot of stress, bad mood and costed us money, because it was very expensive to book another hotel in such a rush.
Salvatore has transferred us money back and we appreciate it, but still first after a couple of reminders...
We are sorry Salvatore, but for these reasons we can not give you a good feedback.

Nice is a great city!!
The apartment was a fine place to stay; after 5 minutes walk you are at the beach, to the old town is a bit further to walk, but you can walk there and the supermarket is around the corner.
There are many buses in the city and also to and from the airport and the train station.
Salvatore is very helpful and kind person and he helped me with a few questions I had.
In the apartment was everything there that I needed during my stay and there was even a city map. Very useful!
I was only 1 houer in the "amazing sunny Appartment" and i leave the Appartment. I was disappointed about the Appartment. It was not sunny sorry to say that. On the pics looks good but not in real.
Everything went well. Nice, small, and tidy apartment in the center of Nice.
Get our keys at the agency office.
Salvatore is friendly and helps you with every difficulty you have with his appartements or in nice. I hope that every owner is like him.
All we could wish for! Very clean! :)
First of all Salvatore is not a private person, this is an agency which doesn't care if there are any problems. I would never recomend him as a host nor his flat. We had to go to the agency to pick up the keys but in the description of the flat at wimdu was written that we will meet at the flat. Also the stink of cat piss from the outside of the flat was so strong, that we couldn't sleep with an open window which was unbearable (it was really hot in Nice). There were also cockroaches in the flat. Last but not least we had no wifi for 2 days. We contacted the "cousin" and Salvatore (as he was our contact person) to take care about this problems and there were no reaction. Until the second complaint he came to the building to check what's wrong with the internet. Our problem with the cat piss stink wasn't resolved and therefore I will write a complaint letter to wimdu. Never again. It was the worst host & apartment & wimdu experience ever.
We had a great stay at the apartment! It was quiet, clean and we got very good informations about the city and trips we could do. Every time again!
The flat was really clean and the rooms are cosy. We really enjoyed staying there. It was not complicated and really worth the price.
Everything was alright. Salvatore and his cousin Stephan have mad a lot of efforts that everyone would have a nice stay, they will help you with every question or fix any problem you have. They prepared a lot to make everything super easy (check-in, -out, location, maps, etc.) and especially their self-made tour i can recommend. Of course the apartment wasn't decorated as seen on the pictures, but overall the interior was as seen. You have everything you need for self catering and so the price is definitely very good. So we had a good stay and i'll come back for my next trip to Nice.
