Discover Madrid city-center spell just walking from your front-door; apartment perfectly located to visit Barrio de las Letras (Word’s neighborhood: Huertas street, Lope de Vega street, Cervantes street, Santa Ana square), Barrio de las Cortes (Parliament’s neighborhood: Parliament, Neptuno square, Cibeles square, Puerta de Alcalá, Parque del Retiro), the 3 main art galleries of the city -Prado, Thyssen & Reina Sofía- and, of course, glamorous center of Madrid (Habsburg’s Madrid) counting Plaza Mayor, Barrio La Latina, Puerta del Sol, Gran Vía, Plaza de España, to end up in Opera square & theater, King’s Palace (also known as East Palace, but curiously placed in the west side of the city ¿?) and Almudena Cathedral, all latter places belonging to Bourbon’s Madrid. Very close, several bus-stops including most sight-seeing City-Tour services. Also nearby, the charming night atmosphere of Huertas & Santa Ana pubs and restaurants.
First use apartments just refurbished (August 2013) counting all comforts in a unique building from XIX century, qualified as a cultural interest asset owing to its front and its wooden staircase (lift also available).

The apartments are surrounded by multiple interesting spaces. Culturally, it’s settled inside the Art Triangle formed up by Prado, Thyssen-Bornemisza and Reina Sofía museums, to which it could be ease to add CaixaForum with highly interesting temporary exhibitions.
Among the capital city monuments, surrounding the apartments you can enjoy Spanish Parliament, Medinaceli Christ Chuch and Madrid Stock-Market close to Neptuno square&fountain, Central Bank and Town-Hall just besides Cibeles square&fountain, close to Puerta de Alcalá that opens the view of Retiro Gardens and Jerónimos Church (where, among other people, Spanish monarchy successors get married).
Walking up Gran Vía or Alcalá street you reach Puerta del Sol, starting point of main Spanish roads, then Plaza Mayor and Habsburg’s Madrid (La Latina, Cava Alta, Cava Baja, St.Micheal market). Ahead, Plaza de España, la East square, Opera square&theater, King’s Palace and Almudena Cathedral (Bourbon’s Madrid).
Despite monuments and museums, the area is exceptional for shopping. Streets around Puerta del Sol, such as Gran Vía, Arenal, Preciados, Mayor and Fuencarral, are scattered by any kind of businesses, from small shops where getting some grocery, souvenirs or fashion, to big molls like El Corte Inglés, FNAC, etc. Sundays and bank holidays during the morning, a very recommend option is enjoying the diverse, colorful street-market known as El Rastro in Ribera de Curtidores and streets around.
Gastronomy is an additional Madrid attractiveness and the area counts a number of excellent restaurants. When the night falls, there are many theaters, shows and performances to attend, especially in Gran Vía. To finish the day having some drinks and fun, Huertas and Santa Ana pubs offer a great atmosphere.
Considering its lovely weather, going for a walk is a fantastic option in Madrid. There are many alternatives, from the easy move on foot, either free or organized, either wandering the streets or in the Retiro Gardens, to the typical sight-seeing bus City-Tour, the attractive bike rental or the more daring SegWay.
A night walk through Gran Vía, Puerta del Sol and surroundings is a perfect way to enjoy the charming of historical buildings under lighting and the silence of the night. All the possibilities allows for knowing better one of the most beautiful European capitals.

Breakfast is served in nearby cafeteria, for Saturday and Sunday with a maximum amount per person per night for 3 euros.
