The Ribatejo is composed of nostalgia that comforts the soul and frees us towards a peace only obtained through nature... That is why Ribatejanos use hand shaped and painted rustic materials, opting for solid wood, designing the furniture and giving special attention to the details, so that they are perfect.
In Ribatejo TAUROMAQUIA (Bullfighting) is lived. Bovine cattle is raised, more concretely Bulls of Lide. Bulls are bred for the bullfights in the paddocks. Looking back on history, the bullfights also served as a preparation for war.
There are some who appreciate them and some who don't, but they are a Ribatejana tradition.
It is also because of the bulls that there are the "campinos", whose main function is to lead the bulls through the pastures. And what a delight it is to see them mounted on their horses, with their bright coloured clothing, a white shirt, red jacket, blue trousers, white knee high socks and green and red cap. This is a typical image and full of tradition.
Ribatejanos keep and plant beautiful gardens filled with flowers, grass, shrubs and o ornamental and fruit trees.
There is no confusion, only comfort and a healthy life that it relates to other times...

Nice and clean apartment close to the center with everything you need for a comfy stay in Lisbon. Contact was easy, a very gentle man called Joaquim was there to show us around and explain everything we needed to know. This is definitely a location we can recommend.
Communication was perfect, all information precise and helpful. The stay at the "musician flat" opened insights into the "real life" in Lisbon and Portugal which would not be possible in a commercial hotel or pension. Thanks a lot for the friendly talks with Ivana and her nice daughter.
Thank you so much for having us! we had a great time. Madalena and her friend were very kind and tried to explain everything to u as good as they could. Fortunately one of our friends spoke Galician and that helped a lot.
The kids had a great time playing at the pool and also playing billiard.
Hopefully we can come next year.
Thank you Isabel and Madalena for everything. Hope to see you next year.
(maybe with my family from the Netherlands and my sister from Germany ( whoes children where really jealous at us staying there at the big waves( They love to surf)
thanks again for everything
After our Booking it was difficult to get the host and at end we got our host over Wimdu. It is the worst place to stay in Lisbon. All things were so dirty and full of dust. There was no Wardrob in the room for cloths. Kitchen und Bathroom were so full of dust and smelling bad. We reccommend who wants cleanliness not take this accomodation.
Isabel's daughter Ivana was very friendly and was in the appartment when we arrived. So there were no problems with the keys. The appartment was nice and clean.
Communication with Isabel was always good and quick. Everything was ok for the arrival. It is very central and good for a short term stay: I would returN Thanks
After arriving late, wich was no problem, we arrived at Isabel's home.
The room is small, but if you are only there to sleep and see Lisbon it is a nice place to stay.
The tram stops in front of the appartment, easy acces to the city. I would recommend buying a 24 hour public transport card at a metro station for €6 to use the tram/metro/bus. The public transportation is easy to use if you get the hang of it.
On the end of the street on praca Luis de Camoes there is a very nice place to have breakfast called 'A Padaria Portuguesa'.
Isabel was a great host. We were a little bit to early, but that was no problem for her. She is very hospitable.
The place was nearby metro Arroios and close by the centre. She gave us some good tips about local places and restaurants. We loved our stay by Isabel. If we or our friends want to visit Lissabon we recommend Isabelle:)
Isabel was a great host. She has a nice little flat, where we slept in a double room with breakfast. Her house is very central with nice restaurants and a lot to see around. We really can recommend her. Thank you!
