Reviews of this property
Fantastic apartment in Rome. It is a very large apartment with everything that was described in the offering text. The one balcony with incredible view to coloseum is as promised. The sleeping rooms are very good, a little bit old style, but we loved it. The kitchen a bit tiny, however sufficient for all people in our group. Thanks to Fabio for all his help and good advices he gave.
Only disadvantage: this apartment is located at a street, so of course some noise comes from this area. First night we heard it, second night we have no longer been disturbed by it.
We highly recommend this fantastic opportunity to stay at Rome and would definitely like to return for a different occasion
On arrival we were met by Marisa and her family who were charming and helpful. Marisa's nephew Fabio - who speaks good English - showed us round the apartment which was very spacious and contained everything we needed; we were even given a welcome pack of water, milk and wine. The apartment is very well situated, close to the Colosseum and with many restaurants and a 24-hour supermarket close by. All in all I would definitely recommend this property, the only slight criticism being that the décor and some of the furnishings are rather dated. But the view from the balcony more than makes up for that!
The apartment is very spacious.
Fabio explained everything, and left no question open, also gave us helpful tips for the city trip.
Can highly recommend staying there.
Thank you very much.
Grandparents with 2 grandchildren stayed in the apartment for 5 nights. A perfect apartment just a few minutes off from the Colosseum, Foro Romano and Palatino. We enjoyed every minute in the apartment and the sightseeing. Thank you to Marisa.
We didn't get to meet Marisa but we met her lovely nephew Fabio. Very kind and helpful. The location of the apartment was great, next to the Coloseum. Everything worked as expected. Thank you for everything, including the welcoming bottle of wine and chocolates.
Thank you for a wonderful week in Roma. The apartment is much more beautiful than you can imagine on the pictures. Actually it is so big, that we needed 2 days to open a door and behind was the correct room we searched in that moment. The "hello" was done by Fabio, Marisas nephew, which is a very, very kind guy. He made a tour thru the apartment and no question was open in the end. All you find at home, you also find there. The internet in working well, the kitchen is so well equipped that you could cook a 5 step dinner for 100 people without any problems. The fridge was filled with a big bottle of water and a new box of milk. Everything was very, very clean.
As Marisa knew that I will come for my Mums 70 b´day, there was a huge bunch of white lilies and dark red roses and a bottle of very nice red wine, which made my mum cry because she was so touched.
One out of 3 sleeping rooms has it`s window directly vis a vis the Colloseo. It was the first my mum saw in the morning and the last in the evening - very decadent view.
The master bedroom has a big balcony - big enough that 3 people could have breakfast in the sun.
As Fabio was just perfect in all areas, he showed us a close and gratis parking and 3 supermarkets - less 5 min to walk.
All in all, it was the best travel experience I’ve ever made and I would visit Roma again, just to relax in Marisas apartment. Dear Marisa, dear Fabio: Thank you so, so much for all you have done for us. I wish you just nice and gentle guests for your little villa :o)
Fantastic location, close to all the sights. The apartment itself is spacious and nice. Fabio always responded immediately when we had questions. The only recommendation I have is that it would be good to have a list of telephone numbers (for example of a doctor) in the apartment in case of an emergency.
We arrived in Rome very late due to an unscheduled change and the Landlord's nephew was there to meet us along with a tax collector (!). The apartment was clean and air conditioned, which in Rome during the summer we really appreciated. The apartment was actually rather large. The master bedroom had a nice big bed in a nice big room. Our family of 6 slept well (ages 2,6,10 and 18) and the dining room came in very handy as the (separate) kitchen was pretty small. Good supply of utensils and cookware and a "Nespresso" machine we used a lot. Plenty of groceries and late-night markets nearby. There's a fresh produce stand on a side street about 250 meters distant with _everything_.
The landlord was always available via phone and responsive to our needs and questions, for example how to operate the washing machine (a temperamental device in need of replacement). No drier, you have to hang your clothes. Site visits were conducted by the nephew, a pleasant chap.
As with every other place we have stayed, we found our ability to conduct minor repairs to be an asset.
One disappointment was the WiFi internet connection. It was good enough to get email but the bandwith was pretty small, and it needed to be reset with some frequency.
This nice apartment made our stay in Rome quite pleasant, especially at the end of a long hot day.
Great apartment - great location - great service.
I can truely recommend this. The apartment is spacious and very clean, has everything one needs. Everything worked well. We got excellent directions from Marisa how to get there. Her nephew was there and explained simply everything-a very nice and helpful person, too. A great view out of the living room.
We are a family of five (kids ages are 10,12, and 14).
